Join The Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (ADRIO) and the Ontario Association for Family Mediators (OAFM) by webinar or in person at Queen’s Law School at 5:45pm January 23, 2018 to hear the latest research findings on:

  1. Shared Parenting in Canada and
  2. Views of the Child Reports.

How does involving the voice and views of the child impact outcomes for children and youth? What is the latest legal and social research saying about shared parenting arrangements? What are the courts saying?

Guest Speaker: Prof. Nicholas Bala collaborates with psychologists, social workers, and other social scientists to better understand the effect of involvement in the justice system on children, youth and families and to help improve outcomes. He has recently completed two collaborative research studies that have profound implications for family law and dispute resolution professionals.

Registration is free. You must register at least 48-hours before this event in order to receive any special instructions, handouts and the webinar link. Related research papers will be shared only with registered participants 48 hours prior to this event. Members may attend in person or via Webinar. Non-Members may attend in person (up to 3 sections meetings after which we suggest you consider membership). Students and walk-ins are welcome but will not receive research papers unless registered.
