  •  January 29, 2025
     12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Venue:   Webinar

Address:
Zoom Webinars, Canada

Presenter:
Ms. Zimra Yetnikoff,
Director of Investigations & Hearings at the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario

The assessment of the presence and impact of intimate partner violence (IPV) in the context of high conflict separation and divorce is critical. The process may involve difficult decisions for professionals involved. This workshop provides mental health professionals, mediators, lawyers, and judges with a practical framework to evaluate IPV concerns and make ethical decisions regarding release of personal health information (PHI) in their work. Guided by the Privacy Commissioner’s professional guidelines, Sharing Information in Situations Involving Intimate Partner Violence: Guidance for Professionals participants will explore the intersection of privacy, confidentiality, and the duty to protect.

Through case studies, interactive discussions, and expert insights, attendees will:

  • Understand the Privacy Commissioner progressional guidelines.
  • Identify key ethical considerations when managing IPV disclosures.
  • Navigate complex scenarios in high-conflict separations and family law disputes.

This session is essential for professionals seeking to enhance their ethical decision-making and ensure informed, compassionate responses to IPV within their practice.

Deadline to register: Tuesday January 28th at noon.

Meeting link and materials will be sent a day prior to the event.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
