International Child Abductions: The Japanese Experience

Japan signed a ratified The Hague Child Abduction Convention in 2014 and became the 91st Contracting State to The Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Please join us for an exciting event as we welcome Professor Daisuke Takeda and Mr. Hiroyuki Yoshinaga from National Training and Research Institute for Court Officials in Japan (Superior Court of Japan) to discuss the progress and continued challenges of addressing the return of children victims of cross-border abduction involving a Japanese parent.
