Abstract: Justice Andrea Himel, Superior Court of Justice (Newmarket) and Justice Stanley Sherr, Ontario Court of Justice (Toronto) invite Ontario family justice professionals and students to attend an engaging webinar discussion about the “Do’s and Don’ts” for Managing Domestic and Child Protection Matters.

The session will include a broad range of topics including: steps prior to trial, assessments (including when to obtain an assessment, good / bad assessments and tips for being a good witness), preparing for and conducting a trial. This is valuable education for both lawyers and mental health professionals.

Justices Himel and Sherr will explore the expectations of the court. Tips and strategies to improve effective oral and written advocacy will be shared with attendees. Resource materials will be provided.

Deadline to register: September 30th at noon

Meeting link and any materials will be distributed the day prior to the event.

*An application for CPD accreditation will be made after the session
